I discounted Shardtrap for a long time, but oh geez is it powerful if used properly. I spent the entire fight rocking +3 Potency and using my fourth interfusion slot to nuke things (usually with Firelash from a fire that someone else had set).

I had a mystic with Mythweaver+, Openmind, and an artifact wand that made interfusion a free action and landed in a map that had, like, 6 statues in a central area. Good additional synergies here include Earthscribe(+), since interfusing with rocks grants additional armor and warding (letting your mystic tank better), and Ignite+ (normal interfused items take damage when you attack with Vigorflow, but fires don't have health as long as there's handy debris or you've got elementalist to prevent them burning out)ĭon't underestimate Mythweaver and Humanist, though they're not as synergistic, although Mythweaver can combo extraordinarily well with Openmind on some maps. Openmind & Vigorflow+ is a popular combo for a melee (or transformed) mystic each interfused object grants +damage (and +speed with Vigorflow+), and Openmind lets you keep more interfusions active.

If you add Elementalist to the mix, growing trees makes splintersalvo much easier to use. That said, there's a few that are noteworthy for having good synergy.Īrches+ & Naturalist work very well together, for obvious reasons grow a tree (pinning nearby enemies), automatically become invisible, teleport an ally (say, a slow-moving warrior) to the tree, or just explode the tree for damage. Mystics don't have abilities that focus them into particular combat styles as obviously as Warriors and Hunters do, because they're so much about interfusion, which is more variable and dependent on the map.
